Cognitive Treatment - Overcoming Panic Attacks

Preface CBT and Panic Attack Online Therapy

As therapy has developed over the years more techniques have been developed to help people overcome panic attacks. Some of the most effective of these methods are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Panic Attack Therapy. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy involves looking at the thoughts, images, beliefs and attitudes that we hold (our cognitive processes) and how these relate to the way we behave, as a way of dealing with emotional problems. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is based on the idea that your thoughts are what cause your feelings and behaviors, not external stimuli like people, situations and events. That is, it’s not the stimulus itself that creates an emotional response directly, but instead, it’s your evaluation of your thoughts about that stimulus. Once you realize this, you realize you can change these thoughts, feelings and behaviors, and regain control over your panic attacks.

Cognitive psychology focuses on how we gain and process information. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy considers how we represent that information and transform it into knowledge as well as how we retain that information. It also allows us to examine how the knowledge we gain is directed toward our attention and behaviors. Thus, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy involves a total range of psychosomatic processes from sensations to perceptions, imagination, recall, language, emotions, and the developmental processes that lead us to act in certain which may lead us to have panic attacks.

Perception is an important thing to consider because our perceptions develop from what we are taught, read, experience, etc. and how our awareness develops. Our main goal is to help you overcome your panic attacks by teaching you to reform your perceptions through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Introduction to Panic Attack Therapy

Modern cognitive therapy stems from psychological techniques drawn from theories of perceptions, attention, memory, imagery, language, developmental psychology, thinking, problem solving, and AI (artificial intelligence).

Panic attack therapy uses some of these Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques to help you gain control over your panic attacks and to develop your mind and emotions so that you can become more successful in all areas of your life.

We allow you to organize your observations, create significant observations, relate essential elements to your observation, develop theories of hypothesis, direct following observations, foresee overlooked events, and communicate more effectively with others in order to overcome panic attacks.

What Causes Panic Attacks?

Panic attacks may be as a result of medical or mental conditions. People with chemical imbalances may often experience panic attacks. However, for most people, the most common reasons people suffer panic attacks are because of their thinking patterns, behaviors and actions. Often, the way they perceived things in the past led them to feel fear. They may have not analyzed the whole picture to draw an accurate conclusion which would have shown them there was no need to feel fear; instead, they use fragments of perceptions to develop an unhealthy fear that leads to panic attacks which can lat way into the future.

Now let’s consider CBT and how it can help you to overcome your panic attacks.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy - CBT

Cognitive Behavioral Techniques are often used in therapy to help patients to manage their thinking, stressors, behaviors, actions, etc.

When CBT was first used, psychologists referred to Cognitive Therapy as the internal representation or codes which involved the way a person acquired knowledge, transformed the information, and stored it in their minds. Many of the anxiety or panic attack problems occur because of our thinking, behaviors, or actions that cause them unwarranted stress.

Don’t let panic deprive you of your happiness. Get control over your thinking and how you behave in reaction to your stressors. That is exactly what this course is designed to help you achieve so that you can successfully overcome panic attacks.
