Building ambition from goal setting
Setting goals builds ambition. When people set goals, they find a purpose in life. Often when people suffer from disorders such as social phobia they fail to see their purpose in life. This robs you of your determination to succeed. Thus, you may develop ineffective thinking habits based on your own assumptions that people see you as inferior.
The fact is, most people are consumed with thinking about how they can improve their lives. It’s common to wonder how you can get a better job or take care of your family more effectively. The same people you believe are judging you are also experiencing problems that they must overcome.
Thus, most people don’t have time to sit around judging you for who you are; instead, they look for good qualities in you to find a friend with whom they can share their problems too.
When you set concrete and practical goals, you make room for your mind to focus on solving your problems effectively. Goal orientation makes room for reducing or even eliminating feelings of depression, panic or anxiety attacks and procrastination because you step back to observe your goals more closely. Goal setting allows you to build relationships with other people who are just like you and decrease social phobia or isolation because it improves your thinking and observation skills.
Keep your goals real in overcoming social phobia. In other words, never set goals that you cannot reach. Social phobia is a condition that you can overcome, so setting a goal to conquer social phobia is authentic and can be achieved if you make the effort.
Here is part of the problem – bad associations spoil useful habits
Many times people become acquainted with people who rob them of their dignity because they let them. In time as they hang around people who have nothing to offer them they start to fear rejection and what other people think of them. The key to becoming a socialite is to become acquainted with people that have something to offer you and people who are productive.
Stay active
