8 Sessions in 8 Weeks
It's really simple - just follow the 8 sessions:
Session 1 - What is CBT?
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) will help you change the way you think so that you feel and act better, even if the external situation hasn't changed.
Session 2 - Change the Way You Think
You will learn that the cycle of weight problems is negative and continuous. Without changing the way we think, we are stuck in a never-ending loop.
Session 3 - Identify and Challenge Your Problematic Behavior
There are different types of negative behavior. You will identify into which category your behavior falls and then learn how to challenge it.
Session 4 - Change Your Problematic Emotions
We will look at emotions and realize that it's OK to feel negative emotions, as long as they are healthy ones, like sadness. You will learn how to change your emotions by coming up with alternative healthy emotions.
Session 5 - Challenge Your Negative Automatic Thoughts
You will identify your negative automatic thoughts and thought traps, and then challenge these problematic thoughts in order to form a better way of thinking.
Session 6 - Actively Working on Overcoming Your Weight Problems
Your diary and your activity plan are two of the most important CBT tools in overcoming weight problems. We guarantee that the more wholeheartedly you use these two tools, the more progress you will make.
Session 7 - Looking at Self-Esteem - Stop Rating Yourself
We look at how self-labeling is bad for us and how it drains our self-esteem. We will find out some "better" alternatives and ways to beat self-labeling. Stop judging and start accepting!
Session 8 - Looking to the Future
Finally, we will evaluate your goals and help you set new ones. You will also take the weight problems test again to measure your progress.
