Please accept my hearty regards. When I read your reply here, I got really inspired by the way you have fought against the odds and evens of your life, and the way you have achieved milestones. Salutations to your fighter spirit. Each and everyone should learn from you. I am the one who writes blogs here. After having a glimpse of your life, I want to write more about you and share your wisdom and motivating spirit with our readers here. I share the same mission like yours. Personally I have gone through many tragic moments in life, so I want to help people sailing in the same boat as mine.

I agree with you that the problems and issues that the differently abled face are socially manufactured. Together, we can share and care.

If you want me to share your story with others, then please feel free to tell me here.

May you achieve many more milestones in your life. Our best wishes are always with you.

I am presently completing a 60 credit Masters program (CMHC). I must earn 1000 hours to graduate and sit for the first part of the licenture exam. I found this web site because I am looking at alternative therapy approaches such as ECounseling.
I love the positive attitude and/or approach which this above noted message notes. I am totally blind, I am a older woman who has raised a family in to adulthood who is now completing this goal, set out to meet in my earlier life. I am becoming a licensed therapist specializing in disability, family, working with elderly, working with those who are of minority or racial difference. Most of the issues the disabled and their families face is socially manufactured. Living in a “physically youth oriented perfect world”has even entensified issues and problems which persons of difference must face. What the young do not realize that as we age we all change. Superficial beauty is a product of our world. Rather then this, I want to help clients face reality, learn to heal, grieve, and find new beginnings.
Is there anyone out there who also is licensed and works with these populations? I want to offer the best most empathic therapy possible. I also want to help clients move forward with their lives. I am presently looking for a supervisor to help me earn the 1000 pre-graduate hours, to eventually become licensed.
I am also interested in ECounseling. Have any of you been trained in online counseling, or phone counseling? If so, what advise would you give me? I am attempting to understand all of the ethical laws as well as regulations involved with this industry. If you are a practicing clinician I would appreciate any help possible? Do any licensed therapists who read this blog supervise students who work with ECounseling online services? If so, would you be interested in connecting with me?
Thank you
Renee
