It is your sole responsibility as a therapist to ensure that you only give therapy to people you are allowed to give therapy to, depending on local, state or national restrictions.
As a therapist, you could be a Covered Entity for purposes of compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, Public Law 104191 ("HIPAA"), and you may also be subject to similar state laws. Accordingly, information you collect could be protected under HIPAA and state privacy laws. Online-Therapy.com is a technology provider, not a Covered Entity. You understand that compliance with HIPAA and state privacy laws is your responsibility.
