Amy Freede

I am a clinical social worker licensed in Ohio and Indiana. I have a Masters of Science in Social Administration from Case Western Reserve University and began my career in Ohio working in community mental health, specifically with individuals diagnosed with serious and persistent mental illness. After moving to Indiana in 2017, I worked with a wide variety of individuals with issues ranging from OCD to PTSD to post partum depression and anxiety. I found I enjoy working with individuals going through major life changes and helping them rediscover themselves and their ‘new normal.’ I especially enjoy working with new mothers navigating the identity shift after having a baby.

My practice is person-centered, conversational, warm, and with a bit of humor if appropriate I utilize a combination of CBT, DBT and mindfulness, encouraging self compassion as well as increasing self care activities. I believe we are all trying our best. It takes great courage to examine yourself and even greater courage to share your inner thoughts and feelings with another person. I honor that and work with you to help you find your way to greater fulfillment and peace.
