After having seen a very helpful counsellor myself in my teens and early twenties, I decided to forgo further studies in Journalism and instead study part-time to become a counsellor. I am a believer in 'paying it forward' and so wish to create a safe place where you can receive empathy, understanding, and support.
I recently completed my Bachelor of Counselling at the Australian College of Applied Psychology (ACAP) in Sydney, Australia. I have a particular interest and experience in mental health; crisis and trauma therapy; Narrative Therapy; working with grief; and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I have also conducted sessions online and through video therapy. My aim is to support and empower you to make positive changes and enable more freedom in your life.
I completed my fieldwork placement of 250 hours over 8 months at a homeless shelter in Bondi, in Sydney, Australia. The shelter uses a holistic approach in providing assistance to those who use the shelter. I found this experience invaluable in helping me further develop a person-centred and integrated approach to therapy, allowing me to tailor sessions to suit you.

"Anna worked with me as an online counselor during the time when she was completing her degree in counseling, but she approached it with such a professionalism and level of experience that in no way indicated that she was a student. Being that she graduated with high marks soon after did not surprise me!
Anna was empathetic and an excellent listener, inputting good advice and calming words as needed during our sessions. She helped me during a time that I really had nowhere else to turn and I’m glad that she was there for me!
I absolutely recommend Anna as a counselor and I hope that you will let her help you as well!"
