Brittany Holland
,LPC-S, NCC
I’m Brittany. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPCS-S) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC) within the state of Alabama. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Masters of Education, Counselor Education - Marriage and Family Therapy both from Southeastern Louisiana University. I have over 13 years of experience working within the mental health profession mostly in a University setting. Over the years, I have worked with college aged students, adults, couples, within diverse populations to address many concerns. Such as symptoms of anxiety, self-esteem/confidence, body image issues, depression, boundaries, relationship/marital conflict, life transitions and changes, parenting and family conflicts, adjustment issues, general stress (stress management), grief and loss, infertility and trauma.
I have a passion for helping those experiencing infertility, postpartum struggles, parenting concerns and especially grief and loss. Grief and loss affect us all in many different ways. Infertility, miscarriages, postpartum can also be forms of grief and loss. These topics are not discussed enough and I want to be an empathic source of care during these difficult times. I believe in being a foundation of comfort during a time of difficulty and uncertainty that grief can add to our already busy lives. I am committed to providing a safe, confidential, non-judgmental environment that with client collaboration, will guide clients through the situation they are experiencing and at the pace they are comfortable with. I incorporate a holistic approach along with solution-focused and cognitive-behavioral techniques.
