Dr. Edward Muldrow,
Welcome to Online-Therapy.com. My name is Dr. Ed and I'm a Ph.D. LCSW therapist with a Diplomate Status in Clinical Social Work. I have been in practice for over 9 years and I work with families, and individual counseling with adults, children, adolescents in brief and long-term formats.
My theoretical approach is grounded in synthesizing the elements of Short-term, Cognitive and Dialectical Behavior theories, which helps a person to understand one’s own “self,” as well as helping to understand much of how other peoples’ minds work! I appreciate working with families-notably guys and including listening to the adult male "voice"- in couple, marriage and family therapy. I have a down-to-earth style with a focus on current symptoms and connecting them to past painful experiences without having to revisit one's entire past!
Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked 9-learners at Capella University teaching graduate and doctoral learners in the Social Work and Human Services program. I graduated from Philander Smith College (HBCU) and earned my Master’s and Doctoral Degrees from the University of Houston. Currently, I am in private practice and conduct support groups for clients with severe mental health challenges. I specialize in working clients with schizophrenia and parenting stress challenges. Finally, my clients have rated me with a 4.5 rating with healthgrades.com as evidenced by over 53 *****reviews. Welcome Aboard!
