Emily Adler

Hello - I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a client centered approach to my therapy practice. I like to focus on collaborating with clients and meeting them where they are in their journey. Using a strength-based trauma informed approach to therapy I work with clients to find and master skills that can help make life a little better.

I strongly believe that the most important indicator of success in therapy is the client/therapist relationship. I focus on about ensuring that my clients feel heard and respected, I work to build a foundation of trust, and I believe that everyone brings their own story and experiences. My approach is collaborative, providing guidance and gentle challenges to my clients when therapeutically necessary.

I received a Bachelor’ s degree from The University of Iowa in Religious Studies with a focus in Ethics, a Master's degree New Mexico Highland’s University and am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I , work with a wide variety of clients. My experience includes working with adults with a mental illness, or co-occurring disorders. My expertise includes relationship and individual problems, depression and anxiety issues, trauma response disorders and working toward motivation to change.

When not working, I love spending time with my family (including a toddler, partner and 2 fur babies) being outdoors hiking, cooking and getting in time for a good book.
