I am a qualified professional clinical psychotherapist/counsellor with over fifteen years’ quality one to one experience with clients, specialising in providing individual and group support for children, young people, adults and families using brief solution and long term therapeutic focused interventions. During this time I have developed my exceptional therapeutic skills and combined them with my knowledge to successfully provide interventions that have benefited young children, adolescents and adults, achieving positive change in behavior and attitude of clients on their journey of transformation and healing with consultation with parents.
I have extensive experience with one to one sessions with adults regarding relationships/ marriage, divorce/separation work/ life balance, dealing with stress in the corporate world and have run lifestyle retreats and programs to help alleviate addictions, challenging behaviours, bereavement, trauma, PTSD. I also provided clients with nutritional support, diet plans to encourage healthy eating to be able to achieve a balanced lifestyle.
I believe I bring a positive, enthusiastic non judgmental approach in a professional capacity and help clients feel safe creating a relationship that is is respectful and confidential. In all the interactions I have with clients, I always find it is the client that is giving me the information about their capacities to be in relationships, and therefore about the history of their own experience of being related to. What I have come to recognise is that we need to be able to allow the client to have their own thoughts and feelings about us, and to put ourselves in a position to be able to learn from this about what the client has been through and is continuing to go through, and is also continuing to use to shape their experience and understanding of the world.

In my therapeutic work with clients I am very aware of considering their thoughts, feelings, behaviour and looking at the context of the family using a systemic approach. I consider the impact of relationships/ culture and social circumstances. I would also take on board any biological, and/or autonomic inheritances. My intention is to begin to intervene at the earliest possible stage, in the most appropriate manner to prevent the escalation of emotional and/or mental health concerns. I would assist in identifying areas to strengthen and offer support in their development.
I believe counselling and psychotherapy can help us make sense of what is happening in our lives, feel more in control, and help us grow into the people we would like to be. I also believe that healthy relationships are at the heart of the secret to leading a satisfying and fulfilling life.
As a transpersonal psychotherapist I hold awareness in the client’s essential wholeness while staying alongside the client in the life struggles and difficulties that he or she is grappling with. This process can bring about healing and transformation.
