I became a practicing psychotherapist in Cognitive-Behavioral Approach.
I completed a 4-years course in CBT, developed by Oxford Cognitive Therapy Center and Center of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in Poland Warsaw. The CBT course consisted of 410 hours, including 260 hours of supervision and practical skills and contained the following workshops: CBT for groups, CBT for Depression, CBT for anxiety disorder, CBT for OCD and Health anxiety, Social phobia, PTSD, CBT for self-esteem, CBT for eating disorders, Psychopathology and pharmacology, Personality disorders, CBT for children and adolescents, Non-violent communication, and bringing it all together. After completed a training according to the standards of EABCT and PTTPB, I received ad License for Cognitive-Behavioral Therapist (in 2009). I provided both face-to-face and online sessions to my patients for 13 years in total (starting from CBT course and till now).
I am following a rule which is providing individual approach to each patient combined with creating my own perception of patient’s clinical problem. It is important to apply complex approach in assessing problem, setting therapy goals and planning sessions.
I always combine theoretical approach with practice, challenging task with less demanding in order to provide patients with different type of cognitive content and behavioral experience. Patients are encouraged to use the most suitable for them therapeutic methods and tools, as well as psychological education related to their situation (e.g. monitoring diary, behavioral experiments, etc.)
I am continuously working on my professional skills, trying to be adjustable to different therapeutic conditions, as well as being innovative in terms of applying technological tools and learning various therapeutic methods and strategies.
