Jessica Ledbetter

Hello. My name is Jessica Ledbetter and I have over 10 years of experience in counseling and behavior practices. I am a Mississippi licensed clinical social worker and a board-certified behavior analyst with a Mississippi license. I obtained my undergraduate degree in human development and family studies and my master’s degree in social work from the University of Alabama. I received a second master’s degree in foundations in behavior analysis from the University of Cincinnati. I have served as a school behavior specialist as well as a school mental health supervisor.

I have a passion for working with clients of all ages who deal with a variety of issues, such as depression, anxiety, attention deficit, self-esteem, autism, and life changes. I am genuinely concerned about the wellbeing of each of my clients and always do my best to show them understanding and to share their feelings. I am dedicated to gathering as much information as possible about each of my clients and their unique situations by establishing a relaxed, but controlled environment in which the client feels comfortable sharing their deepest and most private concerns without any fear of being embarrassed, ashamed, or threatened. This helps my client and me identify situations that result in negative feelings and cause detrimental behavior(s). Using critical thinking skills, educational knowledge, and outcomes from prior experiences, I work to individualize each client’s treatment plan to provide techniques that can be used to help modify the thoughts they have that affect their actions and ultimately their lives. This treatment plan is fluid and may be adjusted to the client’s progress or changes in contributing circumstances. Each session is then a time for continued open and honest communication and an opportunity to work cooperatively to master the specific skills that will help prevent and or deal with behavioral disturbances.
