My philosophy is to assist clients as they navigate and create their own path towards growth and fulfillment. My goal is to assist individuals with constructing their own path and viewing roadblocks as an opportunity to expand and re-evaluate their life, behaviors and thought process. I currently provide clinical and forensic services to clients who are incarcerated where I work as the Lead Mental Health Consultant at the Multnomah County Jail. My specialties range from relational therapy to working with individuals who are interested in making lifestyle changes in order to improve their overall quality of life.
I also have a passion for working with first responders (firefighters, police officers, veterans, corrections officers) and individuals that work in trauma based settings which include ED’s, Jails, Prisons and Combat. As a clinician who has worked in the emergency department and in corrections as a mental health clinician and as custody staff, I understand first hand the complexities of working in a trauma based environment.
I have worked with clients in a variety of clinical settings which include Cascadia, the Department of Youth Services, New York City Criminal Court and Peace Health Emergency Department. I received my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Columbia University with a minor in Law and my Bachelor’s Degree in Literature from Chapman University.
