I have over thirty years experience as a Clinical Psychologist, with a PhD from Boston University and my BA from the University of Michigan. I've worked in numerous settings, including the Veterans Administration, a Harvard teaching hospital, community mental health center, schools, and outpatient mental health clinics. Currently, I am in private practice. I've published over a dozen psychological articles, both in professional journals and in national periodicals.
I am married, with three grown children. I am active in my local church, and have been a leader in the Boy Scouts. I also consult around physical fitness; I used to run marathons, and continue to lead hiking groups.
I was trained at a Harvard teaching hospital in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, but I have also been trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Interpersonal Group Psychotherapy, Systematic Desensitization, and a variety of other techniques.
I help people who are suffering from anxiety and stress disorders, depression, marital and other relationship problems, job stress, adjustment disorders, and substance abuse.
