After many years of working directly with people of diverse backgrounds;I've realized that life doesn't always turn out how we planned. At that point we have the option to give up or to keep fighting. Sometimes, we need to get out of our own way to move forward. If you've been feeling like you are fighting an uphill battle and nothing is getting better, I want to help you change that.
The position would allow me the opportunity to utilize my experience obtained as mental health/substance abuse counselor. In this capacity I have worked with both teenagers and adults diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness. Additional experience includes providing mental health/substance abuse assessments, individual, family and group therapy to both inpatient and outpatient clients needing services in a variety of capacities (i.e. domestic violence, sexual trauma, substance abuse treatment, depression). In these positions, I have succeeded in empowering my client’s individual growth through coordination with both community and professional supports involved in his/her life.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner and a Provisionally Licensed Addiction Counselor. I've spent the last decade of my life working with people who are stuck and need to find a way out: whether that be addiction, difficult relationships, or simply being dissatisfied with where they are in life.
I use different therapy practices and am excited to walk alongside you as you discover your purpose. If you are interested in moving forward with counseling or simply have questions about the process, feel free to contact me
