Dr. Virginia Lindahl,
Many people are anxious and depressed about coronavirus outbreak (or for unrelated reasons) and would like help developing new coping skills. I love helping people learn new tools for use at home (which you can also teach your kids!).
I also love working with teenagers and can help them work through this uncertain time. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is research-proven to help reduce anxiety and stress. Many times CBT can bring relief very quickly. CBT can easily be offered through teletherapy (secure video) platforms or phone.
My philosophy is to tailor therapy to you or your child's needs. I practice collaboratively and view the client as the expert on themselves. I can offer expertise and skills that they don't have.
I also offer Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for tinnitus. I understand - because I have tinnitus myself! CBT helps clients manage tinnitus distress, screen it out, and start living life again.
With children and adolescents, I always work closely with parents and other family members.
