Hello! Thank you for being here. I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and I am a certified school counselor. I have worked with many different populations struggling with many different concerns. I believe you being here, you have already accomplished a goal and acknowledge that you need help. My theoretical approach to counseling is a combination of cognitive behavior therapy and solution-focused therapy. Basically, our thoughts control many aspects of our lives, feelings and behaviors. By changing those thoughts, you can change your outlook on a situation. Solution-focused means that I believe you have the skills to solve your own problems and I as the therapist help you find the solutions. Growth is a process and therapy is not easy, but I will be with you every step of the way!

As an LPC, I have extensive experience working with children, teens, and adults. I specialize in many different diagnoses, from anxiety, ADHD, depression, stress, and eating disorders among other diagnoses. I work with individuals, parents, and children, and I have experience working with couples. I have spent many years and completed training on working with the LGBTQ population.

In my sessions, I take the approach of the listener, learning my client's stories, and offering support and perspective. I believe in building rapport, getting to know you, and sharing things about myself so you can see I am a real person as well. I create a judgment-free, safe environment. I am a hands-on therapist, I provide homework, and exercises for the client to practice in their day-to-day life. I look forward to the opportunity to meet you where you are and get to work.
