"So far the sessions have been helpful. The worksheets are very intensive but are very effective. I can see vast improvement in myself in this first month. If you are willing to really focus on getting better and are willing to work through those work sheets when you start to have episodes of fear, anxiety, depression, anger, or what not.... then you will have a much better chance at really learning the skills to help you manage those feelings... You have to be ready to change though.. because you need to be able to sit and stare your fears in the face and that can be intensive. Well worth it so far."

"I found the wording of the worksheets sometimes puzzling but as I went on I began to understand them better which was a good learning curve. My therapist made regular comments which I found helpful. The live chats were very good too although I had technical problems the first time and didn't have much time. The site is easy to navigate and not confusing which is a big help. I was desperate though because of where I live I have limited resources for specialists, and because of who I am, I don't like being in the therapy offices.. I've spent 10 years in therapy offices... and in the two weeks I've been using this and speaking with my new therapist - I've gotten more help and made more progress then in the last 10 years.....

You need to be ready to make a change, and you need to be prepared to face hard questions about yourself through the worksheets.. but if you're honest and if you're okay with talking through chat with your therapist ( I love it) then you will make progress... don't give up. "This has been a very interesting journey and has allowed me to break out of a negative period in my life, and to change my mind set. My therapist, Maggie challenged me in a way that broke down the victim mentality and I started to realise that I need to take ownership of my own feelings and stop blaming others or scenarios for where I am in life. I realise now that I need to devote time to work on my emotions and dealing with situations. I have discovered state management techniques that help me to get rid of and process some of those build-ups, and deal with them before they become too consuming. "I never thought such thing as online therapy would help after the traumatic experiences I had, I thought I would forever live in the past and never combat the problems I've been having for over a decade now, but I went for it anyway and it's been the best decision I ever made. It's changed me to being the person I always wanted to become and my loved ones wanted me to become.

I'm hardly stress and feel like a heavy load has been lifted after all this year's.

My therapist Maggie demonstrates patience and respectful guidance every time when interacting which I think has helped me in ways i didn't think it would she is always ready to explain anything and ready to provide a lot of help and resource for given problems.

Maggie is very proactive in looking through my worksheets and in providing feedback which I'm really grateful for as it allows me to work on myself each day.

Maggie also reacts positively to any comments, questions, or discussions and always creates opportunities for me to open up.

"At the very beginning of this course, I had asked myself (as many other people do, I guess) if it was worth the money, as compared to a much more expensive course of sessions with a "live" therapist in the conventional way. I think it was obvious that generally one can expect better results with the latter, considering the more intimate environment of the one-on-one setting. But is it worth the heavier financial commitment? At the end of this course I still cannot give a definite answer, but I can at least identify the positive and negative aspects of this online course:

Positive: Real techniques are indeed learned and well explained for later use by the patient. Explanations of why these techniques work and how to use them are also very clear. Therefore the patient is indeed "richer" after the course.

Negative: The internet exchanges at the end of each worksheet with the therapist are sometimes laborious because of the long back and forth. It is often not clear that a good and clear communication, without misunderstandings, can be established that way. Weekly live chats with the therapist do help to some extent in this aspect."

"I have moved through this course at a rapid rate. I have become really involved in the process. Please do not think that I have rushed any sections. I have carefully considered all my responses and have spent time meditating on many of the feelings that have come up.

I feel like I was well primed for this course as I'd done a lot of reading about these subjects and I kind of knew what was required, I just need to put it all into action and be consistent with it.

I would like to thank the designers and implementers of this course; it really is fantastically constructed and user-friendly. I can feel the love and dedication that has been put into this program and you should all be very proud of yourselves. You are providing a great service that can help so many people during the most challenging times of their lives.

"I had been doing the CBT stuff daily for a number of weeks up til about 5/9/2016 and then I just stopped. I think that CBT is perhaps easier or more valuable for issues like 'people hate me' or 'I am afraid of doing 'x' My problem is that I seem to go through cycles of depression triggered by anxiety with the bottom line being 'wow, is this what I have to look forward to?' Take today for example. I am self employed, its sunday, I have nothing I have to do, I have no debt, so nothing really to worry about, and yet I wake up with a bunch of anxiety. Fortunately I have medication to help with it, but while I think this training can help, I don't think its going to help me in this situation. I have restarted now 6/19/2016 to see if I can at least go through the rest of the program to see how far it can take me. I feel like a significant portion of my problem is how I am 'wired'. When I was on anti-depressants before, which I unfortunately stopped and can't seem to restart without feeling worse, I would not have felt a need for this program. I am 57 now and I think this is part of the change of aging and so now need to try new things, this being one of them. What the program has helped me with is seeing that its not just my thoughts, but that there is more to it."

"The worksheets are good sessions, session 2 "Change negative inner beliefs to something positive" I didn't quiet get, but maybe it's not time. Once the worksheets are filled out what's there to talk about? Maybe this would work better on someone who didn't have such a complicated past, many different areas of trauma. CPTSD is just that, complicated/complex. My therapist is very nice and seems well versed and my progress is no reflection on her. This is a good program and would benefit many people. The cost is reasonable and may be a good alternative to some. Many people, on the other forums, are looking for something online because of being housebound by physical or mental issues, or lack of qualified therapist in the area, etc. Or as I used it, in between sessions, when you need to talk to someone. I would say this is one of the better online sites."

"Never having done anything like this before (never had the need to), I was not entirely sure that online therapy would suit me because I am anything but a computer buff and actually spend as little time on my laptop as possible. However I knew it would be easier than face to face counseling, making appointments etc - and so it has proved.

Firstly, the initial test and the whole programme showed me that my anxiety was of a pretty mild form and I found it quite hard to relate to the conditions/emotions/thoughts suggested as examples in the sessions and worksheets.

Using the worksheets to talk over the problem with my personal therapist was, for me, the key to the process. In fact, if it had not been personal I have some doubts as to whether I would have completed the programme! Undoubtedly, acknowledging that I had a bit of a problem and being able to talk it through has been a great help and at the moment I seem to be in a much better state and very much more in control of negative thoughts etc.

Initially, I thought the 8 sessions were going to be a bit demanding - largely because of the above mentioned dislike of the computer! - but as I got into it I found it less demanding, but I also discovered that I did not really need to go into some of the deeper aspects of the programme.

I doubt that I am fully free of occasional anxiety, but I know how to cope now.

"I am finding it very helpful if at times challenging. I find the language used by therapists is different I am married to a therapist and at times the meaning of phrases can occasionally lead to misunderstanding. I find the approach fine because I'm an engineer, problems are identified and solved which is similar.

The key thing is making the necessary changes I believe to a large extent the changes required have been identified but I still need work through some of the underlying issues.

In some ways it is harder doing it online than face to face, certainly a lot more writing but I actually think that is probably a good thing.

I hope that by the end I will be able to control my anger a lot better than I can now and hopefully not get so angry as I will have a better understanding of why I am becoming angry."

The questions they ask are excellent and organization and content wise they are excellent. But I think they could be better formatted so that they are easier to use:

I think these would be much easier to use if they were in a chart or simple spreadsheet format. It's also difficult to flip back to look at example while in the middle of a worksheet - so if you don't quite understand a question , you may want to look at the example. but in order to do so you have to press continue and go all the way around the circuit.

Then if you want to change something that you've written, once you've pressed 'continue ' there's no way to amend previous text. Sometimes it's really just a case of wanting to correct a typo or grammatical mistake, or clarify a sentence by rephrasing. Sometimes I find I've answered a question and then think that I'd rather class that answer under a later question but because I've pressed 'continue' I can't do that. I realize that this system captures stream of consciousness well but I think it would be helpful for organizing one's thoughts to have the tools to be able to compose and edit answers more fully.

Another thing : I would like to be able to fill in worksheet more than once to deal with different issues but I don't like the way that the worksheet files each answer under each question - it would be better if one could answer a batch of questions and keep these together on a single page. Then if you want to explore a different issue you can have a fresh, blank worksheet in the same format so that these explorations can be batched together.

Personal online therapist: Brilliant- I haven't used the chat facility but I find my therapist's comments really insightful and that makes up for all my complaints about the worksheets! The feedback really has opened new ways of thinking and already I'm seeing some quite big changes in my life. I like the fact there's one therapist who gets to know you. I also like that the connection is through type as opposed to through skype, face to face or telephone because it means that I read the comments in my own voice and they somehow seem less 'other'.

Sessions : I'm only on session 3 ( or maybe 4 - can't remember) but thoughts so far: Good. I'm finding these very useful."

"I have to deal with the public a lot in my job and panic attacks were making that impossible. I would sweat, feel faint and be unable to breathe. I often thought I’d die. I was about to give up my job when someone suggested I try to find help online. I found this site, with the panic attack therapy. I didn’t think it would work but I wanted to keep my job so I had nothing to lose from trying. That was a few weeks ago.

"My Experience with Online-Therapy.com: Everything I was doing in life just wasn’t enough to make me happy. I was just so sad. I isolated myself from my friends. Romantic relationships were sparse, short-lived, and ended badly. I struggled with bad feelings about myself, and I increasingly fought off thoughts of suicide. I knew of one particular event in my life that had long-lasting effects on me. It was a violent and traumatic attack I experienced twenty years ago.

I sought help online. I stumbled across Online-Therapy.com and took the questionnaire for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. I answered yes to nearly every symptom listed in the questionnaire. I felt as though I was taking a chance when I paid for the services. I was afraid the questionnaire was designed to lead anyone to seek counseling services, but I really needed help. I was desperate. I was losing my life.

After I signed up for the services, I was assigned a therapist. In a matter of hours, Maggie Sweet was in touch with me through e-mail and through Online-Therapy.com’s website. She introduced herself and informed me that she had also recovered from traumatic events in her life. She also gave me an assignment. I answered a series of open-ended questions about my past experiences, my current situation, and why I was seeking help. Maggie used my answers to assess my situation. She returned her assessment to me expeditiously. Upon reading her assessment, I was very relieved to see that she understood what I was going through. Her assessment made it clear to me that I was going to receive the help I needed.
Our first session occurred soon after the initial assessment. After some greetings, Maggie jumped into a desensitization exercise with me. The exercise brought up undesirable reactions. I was experiencing feelings of fear and anxiety through an interaction online as though I was physically present in a situation. The first night was tough. I was crying. I was confused, and I was angry. I didn’t realize what the point of the exercise was until later.

After that first night, and after subsequent sessions, I just continued to follow the instructions that Maggie gave me. I began to recognize the difference between myself and how I reacted during exercises. As I continued with the therapy, as it was instructed to me, I started to understand how to separate myself from my past experiences. The bad feelings I held against myself for the bad things that happened in my life were only shaping me because I allowed them to affect me. Maggie is an engineer of self-awareness. She showed me how to look at the therapy sessions and separate myself from my reactions and translate that into use for everyday situations.

The big breakthrough came in either the second or third week when Maggie taught me how to let go of the bad feelings that I separated from myself. These feelings weren’t me. They were negative forces in my life that I allowed in my life. At one time, for whatever reason, I wanted to feel badly about myself. Feeling bad about myself served a purpose or some purposes. I can’t even imagine why anymore. Bad feelings just aren’t a part of who I am. After separating myself from bad feelings, declaring who I am, and throwing the bad affects away, I quite consciously, on many occasions, threw my hands away from my chest. I spent a couple of weeks doing this on a rather regular basis.

I have never been a happier man. I’ve never know freedom like I know freedom now. I’ve never had a healthier state of mind, and it only keeps getting better. Occasionally, things from the past still pop up. Sometimes things that I’ve already let go come back, and sometimes things that I newly realize come up. However, I have this amazing new power to declare myself to be the way I want to be and let everything else go. I have a system that’s like a tool for living my life the way I want to live it... which is happy.
Maggie, I am grateful for your involvement in my life. I’m grateful for your decision to help people that suffered the way we have. I’m grateful for your transcendence and the power you possess to teach others to shine bright. You are a great soul. Thank you.

"My name is John Rudkin, I am just 66 years old and I have worked in education all my adult life. I have also experienced bouts of depression, anxiety and emotional crises at stages since my mid-twenties.

I am resident in the UK and because of issues within the National Health Service I ran out of "local Health Centre Treatment" ages ago. I have paid for various therapists over the years, but have never found processes to hold onto and go forward with. Consequently I have lived and worked with a shadow of relapse like an "old dog" in the shadows.

In my final year of work something occurred and I tipped into extremely anxious paranoia. For the first time in my work in Further Education I had to go sick for 6 months and retire from that point.

College paid for some CBT, but obviously I had to wait to get on the programme and it ceased with retirement. I really wasn't ready to be without support but tried to muddle-on, until I knew I was just fooling myself. I came across this on-line offering and decided I would try it.

Maggie Sweet identified herself as my on-line therapist and with my only concerns being my lack of IT skill I embarked on the programme. The process for me is terrific, because I can revisit what I've written and what Maggie has suggested or questioned in my own time. Nothing is lost or forgotten.

Face to face can sometimes be affected by body language, running late, lousy drive to the therapist centre or whatever. This process is so much more accessible.

Maggie was always real though. I felt a warm empathetic person who really cared. This could easily be downloading standardised response, by a bored employee in wherever, but it isn't. Of course some stuff is standardised but the therapist is selecting, commenting and metaphorically holding me, the client.

I got some stuff wrong because of my IT ignorance. Like trying a Skype link, but the written communication more than compensated for that. Maggie made me feel trusted, accepted and cared about in a purposeful way. Sympathy's fine, but healing needs guidance. Trust is paramount if the client is able to accept guidance and questioning as not judgemental.

We all in theses moments of crisis are on the alert for rejection, so the therapist has a delicate path to tread. I count myself very lucky that I decided to try this process and blessed that I got Maggie to work with. For the first time I have a printed-off resource that I can revisit when I need.

I've really confronted my drinking and my wife and I are certain that we do not continue to be slaves to booze. The money saved would buy a decent holiday!

I have a more reasoned take on the last crisis at work and how destructive my "self-blame" fall-back position has been.

I am much more realistic about the fact that we make mistakes, but above all I have the whole process printed as my "well-being" resource.

Maggie has got me here. I know I had to work at it, but Maggie's humanity was the glue that held it all together.

I'm a lucky man."

"I am loving this service. My therapist Maggie is helping me untangle and relieve my BPD symptoms for the first time ever. I didn't even know I had BPD before using this service; or rather, I didn't want to admit it. Maggie has convinced me that while BPD can be tough, there is hope, and I can surmount this disorder.

"Hi, I chose on-line because of cost-factor and limitations of National Health service (UK).
I do find that as someone with rather poor IT skills, I could have done with more guidance/hand-holding to access & complete worksheets.

8 sessions seems reasonable, but I worry that my lack of technological aptitude could cause pressures for me.

Having a therapist on-line is brilliant......as is the whole concept.

I'm 65 and I have tried various forms of therapy. I like this because I can really concentrate my thoughts through writing, and I feel less stigmatised (if that makes sense). When I first sort help it was usually a bus ride to an out of town large Victorian Building and that certainly reinforced feelings of 'separateness'.

So I'm OK but proscribed by my slowness with my Lap-top.

I'd certainly unhesitatingly recommend others to try this approach."

"I have suffered depression for many years and even had medication to treat this, but nothing seemed to help long term and I did not want too end up an addict. Yet looking at my life I had no obvious reason to be depressed: debt free, owned our home, a husband who loved me, good job and good health YET I WAS STILL DEPRESSED. WHY?

My name is Cherie and I live in Perth, West Australia. Apart from being a housewife I also work so spare time is rare. To even get a doctors appointment to fit in with my busy schedule is hard so when my Medical Doctor recommended https://www.online-therapy.com as a reputable course to assist me with depression through councelling I liked the idea, something I could do in my own time and 100% private, good thing is I did not need to look anyone in the eye and admit my problems as I was ashamed. Even though I thought I probably do not need this course , but I wanted an answer to my question WHY?

I decided to sign on and then I met Maggie Sweet who would be my councellor. Who is this person Maggie? After reading Maggies' background I felt confident I was in good hands but I still felt a little uneasy. As I started the course, Maggie gently guided me through the worksheets, sessions and started communicating with me over the chat, emails and comments in the worksheet pages. Maggie asked me questions, made comments on my feedback and without realising the councelling had already begun. WOW, how does this person know me so well?

Because I wanted the truth and to be free of depression Maggie guided me to the ROOT of the problem and where the depression started (which was from my childhood approx 40 years ago). Maggie encouraged me to be honest that if I was angry to let it out. She stood by with compassion as I cried, she supported all of my feelings but also helped me see the whole picture. Maggie was honest with me, even when I didn't want to face the truth Maggie helped me to see it in a very caring manner. When I hurt she was there for me and other times when I needed Maggie to be firm she was. So as I progressed through the course I very quickly learnt Maggie is someone I cannot see but I can trust, Maggie is someone I call a genuine real person.

So, I accepted Maggies guidance, support and believed what she said and today because of Maggie I am a new person, FREE FROM DEPRESSION and for the first time I am excited about life and each day it brings. Using the tools Maggie taught me helps me to remain positive and see things much clearer. YES, I CAN BE POSITIVE in a negative world and that black whole of depression no longer beckons me.

"Overall I think your services are brilliant! I like:

- The concept: It would be difficult for me personally to take face to face therapy because of the practicality having the nearest therapist 2 hours drive away. That would mean pretty much a whole day gone. Also the planning ahead can be a problem. Finally, I would find it very hard to face classic therapy; this is a great way to ease into it.

- The 8 weeks program: It's nice to step into it for a fixed period of time, it's overseeable and structured. It reassures that you are not going to drag things out to get more money.

- The sessions: At first glance seem short (compared to self-help books) but are concise and good to follow. They do give plenty of points to read back and remember so there's plenty in it while still short enough not to be put-off. Perhaps real-life examples could help.

- The worksheets: Are really good. They are deceptively simple and give the impression that it's all too easy. But then the comments come in and add incredible value. It's great to be able to really think about the subject, get feedback and then digest the feedback again, having it there to re-visit. This is my main source of therapy so far. Really good!

- The online therapist: Absolutely brilliant! It's what convinced me to sign up! Just a click and I could discuss which program would suit me and I could get a sense of the kind of service you give. Also, compared to classic therapy it's really reassuring to have the sign up there saying when the counselor is online. No need for appointments and waiting another week, if she there I can get help. No words for it really...

Perhaps some people would like if the chat were over Skype so they could really talk and perhaps see the therapist? I myself would (for now) not go for that but it might help assure people that you are really there in person instead of a computer program.

- The website: Looks nice and clean but not clinical, overall a gentle but productive layout.

Overall I'm truly happy I signed up; I wouldn't have done any other form of therapy (and I do need it!). I'm very impressed with the level of personal attention given, hats off! The absolutely great thing is that it's really flexible time-wise. Whenever it suits me I can do the worksheets or check if a therapist is available, which is just so brilliant. Also, the feeling of being slightly distant really works for me, wouldn't really feel safe otherwise.

"I am fortunate to have discovered Online-Therapy.com as I had experienced some difficulties that reminded me that I have not overcome some deeply ingrained behaviours.

I was too shy or proud to consult my GP for a referral, but I had considered consulting a personal trainer or a naturopath or psychologist who could spend some time with me to get to the bottom of my problem.

I have had counselling in the past but was never really sure why problems developed, i.e. apprehension around other people
My problem now is much clearer and most definitely springs from a kind of shyness which has developed over time to avoidance and dread of being around other people.

So when I found the Website things fell into place and at last I am now pretty sure that I know what the problem is and why I have suffered for so many years.

I thought that I was suffering with either a developmental disorder, or a schizoid personality at one stage but now I realise that I have simply adapted myself to faulty thinking and bad habits that have given me a phobia of social interaction.

So to cut a long story short I have hit pay dirt and know that I must challenge those thoughts and feelings and behaviours and turn the tanker around before it's too late.

I am happy with the format of the course yet I have not utilised the on-line chat.

The course has set me on a path of finding out as much as I can by setting up Word pages as diaries. The steps of the Worksheets provide reassuring structure and are a great help in learning to be aware of faulty thinking while practising healthy social interaction
I feel genuinely more relaxed and more open to my surroundings in the knowledge that there is much to gain and not much more left to lose.

"I do feel the worksheets are extremely helpful. I find that I really have to dig and think through my answers to the questions on the worksheets. This is the whole point... to make us really look truthfully at the root issues. The worksheets really help us probe for the real issues.

Although I haven't used the online therapist very often, I know how important it is to know that a therapist is right there when I really need one. Or if I get "stuck" there is someone that can help me out right now, right on the spot. That is really comforting.

It is taking more much more than the initial 8 weeks. I think it all depends on the individual, how broad their problems extend, etc. 8 weeks is great for some. Others, like myself may need more time which is great to have that option."

Since I started my sessions here my rituals have dramatically been reduced, and in two weeks I was free from rituals! I cannot tell you that I don't want to fall into my rituals but what I am telling you is that I am taught how to overpass them and how to manage my obsessive thoughts and my compulsive behavioirs.
At this right moment I am going in the third week of therapy and I am dealing with my fears, imaginations and traumas, exploring myself in order to find the root of my disorder.

The best thing during the therapy on-line is the fact that the process of empathy is working amazing! In traditional sessions the therapist may do his/her head up and down without words, but in this therapy on-line the therapist is feeding us with plenty of emotions and feelings in order to be able to explore ourselves.

I really enjoy having Maggie as my therapist...
If I lived in US I was going to come and find you. Do you know something? If I ever come to US I am going to come and find you for one traditional session.

"Well, I am working here with CBT and with my therapist and I think that this therapy is really AMAZING!....

I would like all you to notice that when I was welcomed to this website I had severe symptoms, including many many many many rituals that were causing me discounts in my daily life...!

In one week I was able to manage my OCD symptoms!... I was able to identify my fears and to work with them.. Actually I am still working with them and with all my rituals...
Now two weeks after therapy my rituals are 0% and the results of OCD had dropped from 60/100 "most likely to have OCD" to 40/100 "minor OCD"...

I still need to fall into my rituals because I am used to do my rituals here and many years, but I am not...! I thought that I could never succeeded but I've started to have small targets and to succeed them..

Hey guys, my therapist here sais "Whoo hooooo" when I succeed to my small goals, so lets all take this "Whoo hoooo" and make it personal by taking strength to master our symptoms and to take our life backs!

"When I first came through to you for help I really didn't know what to expect and didn't have very high expectations.

I cannot believe the results my therapist Maggie has had with me - its brilliant.

The worksheets are difficult but good because they bring out the underlying cause if you answer them honestly and they help to get the problem to the fore. The way they guide you through to an alternative way of thinking is brilliant and has certainly had a dramatic affect on me - particularly when combined with the contact from Maggie.

For me, it was imperative to have a therapist available because I could not get the results on my own - I tried. Maggie has done a really good job with me and taught me an awful lot.

The 8 sessions is good - although I feel it would be fair to let folks know that the first 2 or 3 will be got through fairly quickly. When it comes to the actual worksheets etc it gets more difficult, resulting in a better affect.

Was it worth the money - well, when you consider that my doctor didn't know what to do for me and I was not able to get any assistance that I could afford, it was definitely worth the money - and I seriously would like to make a further contribution when I can afford it in the not too distant future. I cannot believe the results because I now think I understand what my problem is and how it comes about.

I cant thank you guys enough for the help I have received - especially Maggie she's Magical"
