I've always been intrigued with why we do the things we do. Over the years I became even more curious about the mind-body connection that led me to working towards a Masters Degree in Counseling and Psychology. As a therapist it is my intention to first help my clients to understand themselves then work towards their desired goals of therapy. My approach is holistic, taking into account all aspects of the self and life. I love to educate and teach traditional and holistic practices while providing guidance and support during the process. I thoroughly enjoy working closely with a client and being part of their journey to self empowerment and personal growth.
My education background includes a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling and I am licensed in the state of Vermont. Additional certifications and trainings include: CBT, DBT, Life and Wellness Coach, Mindfulness Instructor, Reiki Master, Yoga Teacher, Nature Therapy, Nutrition for Mental Health, and Marriage Educator. This ecletic toolbox as I call it allows me to work with clients preferring a more traditional approach as well as with those that desire a more holistic one.
My experience has been working in schools, agencies, and in private practice. I have worked with children, adults, and couples suffering from anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief, life changes, and relationship issues.

"Online-Therapy is great! The info about CBT is presented clearly in the format of your choice. Worksheets are ideally placed to exercise and incorporate new learnings. The Journal and Activity Plan provide a good template for starting new habits. The yoga intro was great as a (re-)introduction to a lazy, anxious mind and stiff muscles. Meditation and mindfulness are their own journeys and this program supported my efforts. The ability to work at my own pace from wherever was critical for me. Best of all was the dedicated therapist, who provided support, feedback, insight, redirection, and the benefit of her experience.
My life changed while I was engaged with this program, in part due to outside events, but I now have the tools and understandings to continue changing and to unchain me from my soul's dark night."

"So far I'm quite pleased with this type of therapy. It is convenient, and having it all in writing is very helpful for me. In a "live" therapy session I'm often feeling a bit stressed and have a hard time saying what I mean and recalling what was discussed.
I really like my current therapist Cynthia Gogan. She is kind, brings up good points and is very responsive. I feel like I'm getting somewhere already."

"This is a great resource for busy people or those who do not want/need talk therapy. Getting the right Counsellor is key but when you do you get more value than your investment! Highly recommend!"
