As a mental health therapist, I assist my clients in achieving their goals my using a wholistic and integrative approach. I have a one approach doesn't fit all approach and prefer to use an individualized approach with my clients in order to meet their needs. I prefer to support my clients in identifying, clarifying and exploring their reasoning for seeking counseling and assist them in identifying steps towards achieving their goals. I assist my client in developing SMART goals and will provide encourage throughout the counseling period to assist the client in meeting their goals. I will also assist the client in identifying barriers that have impacted their ability to achieve goals identified as well as past life experiences, stressors and trauma that have attributed to their current prognosis. My approach means that I'm also attentive, non judgmental, warm and provide unconditional positive regard to make sure my clients feel seen and heard. I only use evidence based approaches with my clients which include TF-CBT, EFT, CBT, SFT, Attachment based theory and psychodynamic therapy.
