Karen Coupe
,MS, LPC
I have almost thirty years of experience in the field of psychiatry and have helped people with numbers of different issues such as addictions, relationship issues, trauma related issues, people struggling with changing jobs or feeling like they are in the wrong job. I have a Masters of Science degree in Community Counseling from Georgia State University which I obtained in 1987. I am currently working in Telehealth, but I have worked in private practice, in inpatient hospital settings, and community counselingsettings for outpatient psychotherapy
I also help people set appropriate goals for their life, including not minimizing themselves or limiting their possibilities due to past life experiences. In doing this I use cognitive behaviorial therapy approach to help people change their thinking. I also explore a person's past particularly as it relates to how it effects their present situation, looking for patterns that have repeated themselves throughout their life. Then we look at ways we can arrest the pattern to enable the person to make better and more constructive choices resulting in an improved life for the person. I also do person focused psychotherapy where we look at how personal choices may have negatively effected their life and specific ways to make improved choices. I believe in assigning homework each week which I believe increases the person's responsibility to his/her part in having their life go in a different direction. This would include writing assignments, journaling and other creative outlets resulting in an improved life.

"I found online-therapy through an extensive internet search. online-therapy seemed to provide the services I wanted with consistant positive reviews, and the price was more competitive than some of the ones I had already heard about.
I signed up and was pleased t see I qualified for a temporary discount due to my financial situation.
My subscription includes one 45 min session with the therapist i was paired with, Karen Coupe (LPC). Our sessions have been helpful. She is kind and very easy to talk to, she listens to all I have to say, sifts through it all and offers suggestions, advice and even explinations as to what might be causing certin things. She asks additional questions additional questions to better understand and follows up on topics we discuss.
She responds to messages and worksheet entries in a very timely manner.
I use the worksheets and am catching up on the videos. I plan to start using the activities calendar and yoga as I get more involved in my therapy journey.
I am very happy with my decision to subscribe to online-therapy.
Video sessions work on my laptop and my cellphone.
Online-therapy sends me reminders for scheduled appointments and offers outlets for me to give feedback.
I am so happy I decided to start my journey with this program and can imagine a brighter future for the first time in a long time"

"I have been enjoying the service so far, the pricing has been reasonable and working with Karen, my therapist, has been very helpful. She has been very personable and professional and the online sheets have been helpful as well, something lacking in it other online services I used."
