I graduated from Santa Clara University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. I graduated from the California School of Professional Psychology with a Masters of Arts degree in Psychology. My first internship (1978-1979) was at the Mental Health Institute Palo Alto, California.
My second internship was at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. My career spanned 38 years. During this time I have worked with people of diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
I approach clients with sincere empathy and compassion. First, I gather demographic information. Then I intently listen to my clients symptoms and during the first session I will usually bring up the treatment goals and plan. Of course, none of this is set in stone. Goals and plans may change as the treatment with the client ensues. My clients have always felt I really listened to them, and was creative with treatment plans.
Because of COVID-19, I am doing psychotherapy over telehealth and voice. I have always been lucky to have enjoyed my profession greatly I will give clients my full attention, and provide crisis help.
