Anita Aasen

My name is Anita Salek Aasen and I have worked as a therapist for the past 30 years. I am a licensed clinical social worker in four states - New York, Vermont, Maine, and Utah. My professional career has encompassed a wide range of areas. I have provided counseling for parenting issues, domestic violence victims, individuals with special needs and their families, and substance abuse issues. Over the past 15 years, I have focused my practice on psychiatric social work and therapy, both in-person and online. I have received specific training in cognitive behavioral therapy and grief counseling. Recently, I also became a certified life coach. In my psychiatric social work, I have treated many issues including depression, anxiety, burnout, and grief - challenges we have likely all faced. My therapeutic approach is very person-centered and holistic. I incorporate stress reduction into all of my work. I see therapy as a conduit to find healing, better ways of living, and moving forward. While at times challenging, the process is so worthwhile! I look forward to helping you navigate your challenges!
