About Me

I completed my master's degree program in psychology with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy and am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado. I earned my bachelor's degree with a double major of psychology and English. Afterwards, I began my fieldwork in 2005. Over the years I have had ongoing trainings in the field. I also continue to obtain/attend varieties of field relevant events.

I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of employment avenues that include residential programs, group homes, an intensive outpatient program (IOP), a day treatment program/partial hospitalization care, in home counseling, community therapeutic/treatment programs/centers, a group practice, a methadone clinic, and currently have my private practice called Onward & Upward Counseling Center, LLC in Colorado through tele-therapy.

My therapeutic philosophy involves being person-centered, strengths-based, trauma focused, and mindfulness based. This helps build a therapeutic rapport through mutual respect, genuine care and dedication, patience, understanding, empathic approach, non-judgment, validation towards my clients/families I work with by offering a safe space to do so through empowering methods.

My passions include helping victims/survivors of all sorts of human trafficking and helping individuals/families of someone with ADHD/ADD, anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, mood disorders, personality disorders, parenting skills, family conflict, relationship issues, career counseling, pre-marriage/marriage counseling, various types of abuse/neglect, etc. I enjoy offering different session types that consist of individual counseling, couples counseling, family counseling. I have a variety of private pay options & Employee Assistant Programs (EAP).
