Ashley Rooks

I have a Master's in Psychology, a Master's in Addiction Counseling, and a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I truly feel like a lifelong learner and there is no better person to learn from than my client. I am EMDR trained and my passion and focus lie in addiction and trauma work. I have worked as an addiction counselor for over 11 years and have been working in Community Mental Health for over four years. Community Mental Health allows me to provide treatment to underserved and uninsured populations. I provide an empathetic and compassionate space for my clients to be able to process through whatever they may be going through. I am able to hold space and be present with clients. My primary modalities for treatment are CBT, DBT, EMDR, interpersonal therapy, and motivational interviewing. On a personal note, I am married to a wonderful man who is also a counselor. I have a daughter and stepdaughter with him. I love to read, travel, and go to concerts in my spare time. I am determined to provide the best possible care for my clients and I look forward to getting to know you.
