My approach to therapy is one that builds a relationship, it is client centered, and nonjudgmental. I believe in the therapeutic relationship, and respect the dignity of all clients. You can expect that during the first session I will want to hear from both of you and the issues you are struggling with.
We will be working together, this is not a prescriptive approach, it is collaborative approach.
First, and foremost, I believe in order to lasting changes it is very important to discover the root cause of the behavior or difficulty you are dealing with. Long lasting change begins when we are able to understand and address the cause rather than the symptom.
I have worked with many people with a wide range of disorders, including couples and the challenges they face. I look forward to working with you as well and begin building the pathway forward.
Over the past several years there have been many changes in our world, and the need for counselors has risen due to these changes. Many people are feeling the pressures of everyday life and are turning to professionals for assistance in moving forward. I have been fortunate to be a part of the lives of many people and worked together toward better mental health.
