My name is Brian, and I bring a wealth of experience and a friendly approach to my work as an accredited psychotherapist, addictions counsellor, complex trauma therapist, and EMDR practitioner. My extensive background and multifaceted skill set enable me to provide comprehensive and effective support to individuals, couples, and groups seeking positive change in their lives. I work with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, addiction, PTSD, trauma, relationship problems, and self-esteem.
My Journey
Since 2004, I have been fully engaged in psychological therapy, dedicating myself to helping people navigate their challenges and achieve greater well-being. My journey in the mental health field began in the mid-1980s working with London HIV/AIDS and addiction street projects. This early experience ignited my passion for helping those struggling with addiction and mental health issues. My work later extended to addiction treatment centers, prisons, and community settings, where I gained invaluable experience working with diverse populations and a wide range of mental health conditions.
These varied experiences have equipped me with a deep understanding of the complexities of human behavior and the impact of various life circumstances on mental health. I have witnessed firsthand the resilience of the human spirit and the transformative power of therapy.

Therapeutic Approach
I view my therapy room as a sacred space, providing a safe and non-judgmental environment for individuals to explore sensitive aspects of themselves. I approach therapy with attentiveness, reverence, kindness, and compassion, aiming to offer a supportive space where thoughts, attitudes, feelings, moods, behaviors and habits can be explored, addressed, and either changed or accepted. My goal is to empower my clients to develop the insights and strategies needed to overcome obstacles and live more fulfilling lives.
The humanity of my psychotherapy practice is of utmost importance to me. In addition to my skills and clinical knowledge, I bring compassion, kindness, curiosity, fascination, and humour into each session. I believe that creating a warm, genuine connection with my clients is essential for fostering trust and facilitating meaningful progress.
