I believe everyone has the ability to succeed in reaching their goals in therapy and I have been able to establish a fruitful therapeutic relationship with people across cultures and settings as well as varying presentations. Twenty six years of providing therapy to people in Vermont and across the world have given me a unique ability to assist whose I work with to become the best versions of themselves.
I received a Batchelor of Arts degree in Transpersonal Psychology from Burlington College in Vermont. I received a Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Antioch New England graduate school in Keene NH. I was a PhD candidate in Transpersonal Psychology at Saybrook institute in San Francisco. I became a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of Vermont in 1998. I worked for several agencies in Vermont including Copley Hospital Department of Behavioral Medicine and Fletcher Allen Health Care Department of Psychiatry where I was also an instructor in CBT AND DBT for psych resident MDs. I worked for Vermont State Colleges as a lead clinician and professor of Counseling in their graduate program.
In addition to the above I carried a private practice in Vermont for ten years. Leaving Vermont in 2014 I worked as a mental health counselor in Thailand, Malaysia, Borneo, and Antigua often working with celebrities in these places. My orientation is mainly psychodynamic and often work with CBT and DBT. I proficient in EMDR as well.
