I emphasize empowerment and self-acceptance. I enjoy working together with adolescents, and adults to help them stride towards controlling behavioral or emotional patterns that cause significant impairment in personal functioning, within the family, work, or school environment. This allows the client and therapist relationship to develop mutual trust and respect ensuring the client develops their coping skills to use them effectively. Going through difficulties can be tremendously isolating and lonely and life at times creates difficult situations. I meet the client where they are and focus on their strengths so we can brainstorm solutions to their problems.

It is a wonderful thing to witness when the client begins to change into the best version of themselves. They present with a higher level of self-esteem and a positive outlook for their life. They speak with more confidence and reassurance even when their day does not go as well as expected. They realize that they had the answers all along, they just needed some guidance.
