I run a private practice in South Florida; where I serve individuals and couples. Previously, I worked in settings which included hospitals, recovery centers, and organizations that served victims of sex trafficking and torture. Before becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Work, I worked in various creative and journalistic avenues that focused on human rights where I found our connection is seeking, struggling and loving.
My philosophy revolves around changing the dysfunctional relationship we have with stress. Stress is a powerful monster we feed; both real and imagined, but expressed through many moods. Stress is not only a matter of time management. Time manages itself and us by informing how many years we have clocked. Self-management would be a more realistic pursuit than time management. We can’t control time, but we can manage how we respond.
Outside of my practice, I still write mostly works of fiction, but my deepest thought is whether I should eat 5 scoops of ice cream.
