At our core people want to be seen, heard, and loved. When patients come to me for treatment or for support seeking assistance with their goals I try to approach every situation with this concept in mind. People are people and they want to be seen, heard, and to feel loved. Most individuals who are struggling with unresolved trauma, addiction, relational issues, and even difficulty managing their dreams are able to find the self confidence and courage to obtain answers from within with the appropriate support. My approach to therapy is to treat/support each patient individually, respectfully, compassionately, with respect, and appropriate boundaries. Sometimes it really is as simple as showing someone how to believe in themselves so that they are able to look within themselves for the answers they need. It has been my experience that the clients who have been most successful or reported the greatest results post-therapy, have been those who have stated the therapeutic atmosphere was a place of safety, support, and encouragement that gave them confidence to find their own inner strength.
