About Me

I have been enjoyed providing individual therapy for over 10 years now. I received my MSW from University of New England and my BA from Dickinson College. I have worked with all types of people over the years across the spectrum of mental health challenges. I really like people and getting to know them and providing a sounding board to help guide oneself through whatever is facing them.

My experience has included years in community mental health providing assessment for psychiatry and individual therapy. I also have worked in a substance abuse treatment center. More recently I have been in private practice and traveling educating other health professionals about Lyme disease and medical cannabis.

I specialize helping folks with chronic illness, in particular Lyme and other tick borne diseases as these have complicated mental health presentations at times and present a unique set of life challenges and difficulties navigating the health systems, much like other chronic diseases. I often treat people for generalized anxiety, depression, insomnia, family/relational problems.
I also have extensive experience with addiction.

I enjoy using CBT work and interacting with clients in a variety of ways that online therapy offers.
I generally practice with the guidelines of ACT and use CBT specific exercises often.

"I journal daily as suggested. It has reduced my anxiety to just about zero. After a month or two I stopped journaling then noticed a couple of weeks later that my anxiety was back. I restarted journaling and have continued it for a few months and it has been smooth sailing with regard to anxiety.
