I hold an Associates Degree in Sociology, a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and a Master of Social Work. I am independently licensed in MA and have practiced for 7 years post graduation. I have worked with a broad spectrum of individuals to include Trauma, Crisis Intervention, Military Veterans, Homeless population, Substance use disorders, Anxiety disorders, Depression, Personality disorders, Delusional disorders and Eating disorders. I became a program director of a Community Mental Health outreach program, overseeing the care of 200 clients as well as providing clinical supervision for 15+ therapists as well as 20+ clinical interns throughout my career. I have continuing education courses in Trauma Informed Therapy; Motivational Interviewing; Crisis Intervention; LSI Model; Veterans Therapy; CBT and DBT; as well as various other approaches. I have conducted group therapy, family, couple and individual therapy. I specialize in Anxiety Disorders.
I believe in taking a partnership approach to therapy. I like to get to know the client and have them describe in their own words what they are experiencing and where they would like to go with therapy. I am a firm believer that individuals are the expert of their own life and experience. My goal is to build a partnership with them to help guide them to their destination. I draw from multiple approaches to provide the best therapy possible to fit the individual I am working with and increase positive outcomes. Therapy is a journey for the client, and we are just along for the ride.
