I am very happy to offer you my multicultural background, which includes understanding, respect, and appreciation of the Eastern, Western, and European mentalities of people. It is because I used to live in Japan for 4 years, then in Canada, for 6 years I am a Canadian citizen, as well as, in Europe- in Bulgaria, where I was born and live now. This unique experience of life, work, studying, and traveling abroad, turned me into a very empathetic, validating, accepting and non-judging therapist, following the principles of the Humanistic approach of Carl Rodgers, in addition to the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which I mostly use in my counseling practice.

In terms of my education, I have a Bachelor's degree with double Major in Psychology and Human Relations from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. Then, I obtained my Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology, and later on my Ph.D. degree in Medical Psychology. My professional experience includes 2 years counseling experience parallel to working with eating disorders (ED), parents of ED sufferers at ANEB Quebec in Canada, and as a Peer Counselor for students with personal, stress, interpersonal or other issues at Concordia University in Montreal.

Furthermore, during the additional 7 years continuous work experience with people with ED, I also have been working with other related or coexisting mental conditions or problems, such as anxiety, stress, depression, addictions, anger, sleep problems, social worries, emotional, and relationships difficulties, time management issues and procrastination, traumas, panic attacks and others. I have been providing professional help in both: online, and in face-to-face settings.
