Hello! I am Elizabeth Williams, LPC. I am a therapist that utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or CBT to help clients understand their patterns of behavior and working with them to recreate healthier stronger patterns. I take an Existential approach because we all have the freedom to choose our life. Sometimes we just need some extra help finding our path. Existential therapy is a therapy based on the philosophy that we have free will towards choice and create our own meaning in life. CBT is about recognizing patterns of how emotions, thoughts and behaviors are all connected and then learning to identify and replace unhealthy thoughts/actions/emotions with healthier ones to create positive patterns in our life. Combines together this becomes a powerful combination of understanding we get to create the life we want and then fine tune it so it helps us be our most authentic self!
