My work as a therapist is grounded in the belief that every person can grow, heal, and create meaningful change in their life. I help my clients achieve their goals by offering a safe and supportive space where they can explore challenges openly, without fear of judgment. Therapy with me is collaborative—I see clients as the experts in their own lives, and my role is to guide, support, and equip them with the tools and perspective they need to move forward.
My approach blends compassion with practical strategies. I prioritize values such as authenticity, respect, and empowerment. This means that I strive to meet my clients exactly where they are, honoring their unique experiences and perspectives, while also gently challenging them to consider new ways of thinking and responding. Together, we focus not only on reducing distress, but also on building resilience and fostering long-term growth.
In my sessions, I often draw from evidence-based practices including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and strengths-based approaches. These methods allow me to tailor therapy to the individual—helping one client manage anxious thoughts through skill-building, while supporting another in developing healthier communication patterns in relationships. I also integrate mindfulness and self-compassion techniques when appropriate, as I have found these to be powerful tools in helping clients stay grounded and nurture a kinder relationship with themselves.
Clients frequently describe my style as laid back, supportive, and compassionate, with a touch of humor to make the process feel approachable. Therapy can be hard work, but it doesn’t have to feel intimidating. I encourage clients to see it as a safe space to experiment with new ideas, gain clarity about their goals, and practice strategies that support meaningful change in daily life.
My background includes over 20 years of clinical experience across a variety of settings, including hospitals, behavioral health programs, and private practice. This diverse experience has given me a deep appreciation for the complexity of human struggles and the different ways people respond to life’s challenges. I’ve worked with individuals facing depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, bipolar disorder, and significant life transitions, as well as those navigating stress, burnout, or relationship issues. Having walked with people through moments of crisis and resilience, I bring both steadiness and empathy to the therapeutic relationship.
Above all, I want clients to know that therapy is a partnership. You set the pace and the priorities, and I bring my skills, training, and perspective to help illuminate the path forward. Whether the goal is to feel less overwhelmed, improve relationships, gain confidence, or simply create space for self-reflection, I am committed to supporting you. I see progress not only in the reduction of symptoms, but also in the growth of hope, self-awareness, and a stronger sense of personal agency.
Taking the step to begin therapy is often the hardest part. Reaching out means you are ready to invest in yourself, even if the road ahead feels uncertain. My goal is to walk alongside you, providing encouragement, guidance, and practical tools to help you build a life that feels more balanced, fulfilling, and aligned with your values.
