Holly Duffy
,LMFT
I help clients achieve their goals and improve their lives by offering a supportive, warm, and encouraging approach to therapy. The foundational modality I use is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which is evidence based with great success rates based on my training, learning, and over 15 years of experience practicing CBT Therapy.
In addition, I utilise play and expressive arts therapies as CBT interventions, coping tools, thoughts, habits, and healthier hobbies. My background includes LMFT training using CBT, Play, Art, and Music therapies, with integrative somatic interventions, psychoanalysis and Jungian approaches when and if helpful for each individual client with their unique personality, backgrounds and circumstances.
My therapy experience both in person for 8 years and remote for 6 years includes working with children for many years of all ages as young as 2 and all ages up into senior years. 105 has been the oldest age so far I have worked with and she loved music and singing. I have worked with dementia patients mostly offering individual and group interactive music therapy which seemed to be the most enjoyed by them and effective for increasing positive experiences and emotions.
Typically I work with children, teens, and young to middle aged adults. I have most commonly done therapy with children and people with symptoms of anxiety, depression, PTSD, autism, OCD, dementia, and more. I find that the combination of CBT tools and techniques mixed with expressive arts can be very beneficial for many clients to meet and sustain their mental health goals.
