Jennifer Amond

I am a licensed professional counselor- supervisor with 20 years of experience. I provide individual, family, and group counseling; I work with clients of all ages (adolescents, young and middle aged adults, and the elderly). I tend to be eclectic in my counseling style and tailor my approach according to the needs of the client and their current situation. I work with a wide variety of issues, including: depression and other mood disorders, anxiety and stress, grief counseling, anger management, ADD/ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, personality disorders, adjustment disorders, conflict resolution skills training, coping skills training, poor self-esteem, and learning disabilities.

My primary specialties are depressive and other mood disorders, ADD/ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, and conduct disorders. I incorporate a variety of modalities including cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, art, person centered, mindfulness, and systems theory. I am also a member of the Louisiana Counseling Association and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, Louisiana Chapter.
