Jimi Katz

My first memories were of being self aware, both of myself and my surroundings. I have countless memories as a child of understanding feelings and nuances in verbal and body language. As i grew my natural capacity for empathy and feeling became more attuned. As a result i was sought out by my friends, siblings and adults around me, as a sounding board for their personal issues. It was a very natural and organic movement to develop a passion for understanding myself and people. How we understand who we are, how we conclude our substance and cognition.

After high school i attended University and undertook a degree in Counseling Psychotherapy after which i began various training placements. I began work with Social Services as a therapeutic support worker for foster carers and the children in their charge after which I began working in a church based outreach program working with young people which i developed into a large scale counseling therapeutic support facility where i also developed training and supervision for the many volunteers and paid staff.

In the years that followed i went into private practice as a counselling psychotherapist providing support for a wide range of issues as well as running workshops and group work. I have developed a range of programmes which are part of my therapeutic tool kit that have proved themselves countless time in many facets of my therapitic role.
