About Me

A warm welcome to you and a sincere congratulations on taking the steps necessary to focus on your wellbeing.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I obtained a Masters of Social Work from Colorado State University in 2012 and am currently pursing my Doctorates in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, with an emphasis in Coaching.

I am currently a Clinical Director at an organization that provides evaluation, treatment referral, and monitoring for the health and wellbeing of medical professionals. Over the last 12 years, I have worked for this organization in various capacities, as support staff, Clinician, Consultant, and now within Leadership. As a working professional, wife, and mother, I know the struggles to maintaining a healthy work-life balance, striving for optimal wellness, and living a quality life with meaning and purpose.

My previous work experience is in community mental health. These services included individual and group work with mothers suffering from addictions, at-risk youth, and individuals with alcohol, emotion, and behavior related problems.

With regard to my philosophical approach, I utilize a primarily humanistic perspective on the human experience. In sum, each of us travels a unique journey. Our experiences are derived from our healthy (or unhealthy) connections between our mind, body, and spirit, in relation to our environments and relationships. While life can present with frustrations, challenges, and tragedies, our capacity to learn, love, change and grow are boundless. There are strengths within us that when emboldened help us overcome and thrive despite our adversities.

I am passionate about wellbeing, quality of life, and the human capacity for growth. The role of compassion in cultivating change is essential. My role as your counselor, therapist, or coach is to empathically listen, authentically engage, and be your personal facilitator and supporter to insight and growth, in the context of your unique journey.

"The workbooks have helped point out how I need to retrain my brain. My therapist, Joyce, is very nice and relatable. My issues are very mild, but I feel like I have made some progress the last few weeks"

"I have to say I was skeptical going into this after working with another therapist for years. The level of support and the tools given to coincide with my new therapist, the feedback . . . it is all working together and I am amazed how I am moving through an EXTREMELY difficult time right now. I literally signed up for this on a whim . . . and the next week found myself in such a crisis I absolutely don't know what I would have done, without my therapist. I absolutely think this service is invaluable and if you are looking for support through crisis, to better yourself or you just don't really have direction, give it a whirl for a month! It is totally worth it and I absolutely am continuing with my therapist. These are hard times and I am so grateful that these services exist."
