Karen Valteau-Williams

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in LA and New Mexico at present. I have applied to the state of New Hampshire for licensure. I graduated from Southern University of New Orleans, LA with a Master of Social Work in 1987.

I have worked with the Mentally Ill, Developmental Disabled, and Emotional Disturbed Adolescents for over 20 years. Most recently I have worked as a TeleTherapist for over a year now. I have experience in helping adults with depression, stress and anxiety, relationship issues, trauma and abuse, motivation, self esteem, and confidence.

My approach promotes self-awareness, while implementing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy techniques to relieve difficult symptoms, quickly. My practice is enriched by studies in Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. My specialization is working with Women to heal Anxiety, Trauma and Depressive symptoms.

I provide a compassionate, evidence-based therapeutic approach to help clients heal from their past, so that their past no longer negatively impacts their present.
