Katie Ross-McGinnis
,MA, LPC
My therapeutic approach is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and collaboration. I work with individuals across the lifespan to navigate the challenges of trauma, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, and disconnection from self and others. Whether you're in the process of rebuilding a sense of safety, working through preverbal or developmental trauma, or seeking a more embodied therapeutic experience, I provide a supportive space tailored to your unique needs.
I draw from evidence-based modalities, primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS), to help clients deepen their self-awareness, build emotional resilience, and develop effective tools for daily life. These approaches allow us to explore the parts of you that may be holding pain, while also cultivating the inner resources necessary for healing and integration.
I believe therapy should be a place where all parts of you are welcomed and honored. My role is not to fix or direct, but to walk alongside you—offering a steady presence, practical tools, and a therapeutic relationship grounded in safety and trust. Whether our work takes place virtually, in an office, or in a barn, I strive to meet you exactly where you are, integrating clinical skill with genuine human connection.
At the heart of my mission is a deep commitment to empowering individuals and families to rise above life’s challenges. I am dedicated to fostering healing, resilience, and growth within a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment. By honoring your lived experience and tailoring our work to your specific goals, I aim to support you in cultivating mental wellness, restoring hope, and moving toward a more balanced and meaningful life.

"So glad that me and my husband were able to find a marriage counseling situation that works for us. Being a therapist myself, I was hesitant and Katie and embraced this and has been able to help me quite a lot to separate provider from wife. She presented herself in a way where we both feel supported and able to tap into vulnerability. Make plans and move in a direction that is healthy. My understanding is that Katie has a history of providing trauma services to individuals as well in addition to many other things- Very knowledgeable, Supportive, And also able to tow the line and set boundaries for us both in a way that is gentle. Thank you so much Katie and Online Therapy! My husband and I both believe that we will be able to keep our marriage intact and move forward in a healthy way and would likely not have been able to do this without the service that Katie is providing. Highly recommend this therapist, regardless of the issues that one is living with!! Danni & David"
