About Me

I am a fully licensed professional counselor. I received my Master of Arts in Counseling at Oakland University. I have worked in the human services field for eight years. I currently work as a therapist in a residential program treating individuals with co-occurring disorders.

I have primarily worked with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, which has allowed me to gain a extensive experience with many different diagnoses and presenting needs. I also have much experience working with individuals struggling with addiction. I believe addiction to be a co-occurring disorder; whereas, I am interested in finding the root cause of the addiction as well as finding positive coping skills to diminish current substance use.

I believe it is important to listen to people with unbiased and non-judgmental ears. I believe it is important for people to be heard and understood as many people may not have the support system to understand what they may be going through. I look forward in supporting others, improving their overall well-being, and make people feel they are not alone.
