Kelli Lund
,LPC
I have always worked in a helping profession. I started my career as a teacher for the Head Start program and later, I worked with behavior disordered children in the public school system for many years. It was this experience where I discovered that I wanted to be a therapist. I earned my Master's Degree in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling and after two years of supervision hours I earned my Licensed Professional Counselor certification and license. I am now a Trauma - Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapist.
I chose CBT because it works. We will work together to identify unhelpful thoughts that lead to unhelpful behaviors. Once identified, we work on changing unhelpful thoughts to positive ones, which, in turn leads to positive behavior. The Trauma Informed part just means I took the extra classes because I believe everyone has trauma in some form or another but not everyone reacts in the same way. There are five types of trauma and trauma affects us all differently. What is traumatic to one person may not be to another. I look forward to meeting you and working together to better your thoughts, feelings and behaviors.
Take Care,
Kelli
