I believe therapy works best when you feel safe, understood, and accepted without judgment. My goal is to create a supportive space where you can explore what brings you to therapy while also developing practical tools to move forward. I use an integrative and trauma-informed approach to work with adults navigating anxiety, substance use, the weight of past experiences, life transitions, and questions of identity, belonging, and meaning. I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing. I’ll work at your pace and tailor our work to your unique experiences, strengths, and goals.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent several years overseas working in international human rights and humanitarian settings. These experiences allowed me to work with people from many different backgrounds and deepened my understanding of how culture, environment, and systems can shape our wellbeing. My more recent work in community mental health and crisis intervention has further shaped my approach. I believe in meeting people where they are, recognizing their strengths, and creating space to explore both the challenges they face and the possibilities for change.
I see therapy as a genuine partnership. Together, we’ll work to better understand what’s getting in the way, identify meaningful goals, and find strategies that fit your life. My hope is that therapy helps you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, build healthier patterns, and create a life that feels more meaningful and fulfilling.
