About Me

My therapeutic approach is rooted in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), combined with mindfulness and relaxation techniques. I emphasize self- awareness, empathy, and emotional regulation.

I'm passionate about creating a safe space, affirming space where clients feel heard and valued. I believe that a strong therapeutic alliance is the foundation for healing, and I am here to work with clients to help provide empathy, honesty and hope.

I am a proactive, and motivated Counselor with a desire to improve mental health functioning in clients who present with trauma, anxiety, and depression. I believe that empathy and genuine concern are critical in developing a therapeutic relationship of trust with clients.

In my work with clients, I also emphasize the importance of self- care as a useful tool especially in the journey to trauma recovery. With this population I have come to learn, it is essential to create a safe space where clients can feel comfortable to share their experiences. The goal is to identify trauma triggers and help the client ultimately develop appropriate coping mechanism that will enhance their ability to function in their everyday lives.
