Kim Tornberg

I have worked with adults for over 16 years in multiple settings to assist with gaining clarity and moving forward meaningfully step by step. The places I have worked have included outpatient counseling, day treatment, inpatient psychiatric hospital, intensive outpatient addictions program and clients with court involvement. I have also led a group for women with a history of trauma. I graduated in 2008 with a masters in counseling and expressive therapies from Lesley University.

I utilize an eclectic, strengths based approach with my clients. I have extensively incorporated CBT in my work. I enjoy helping clients to challenge unhelpful beliefs about themselves and open up options in their lives.

Therapy is an opportunity to have a safe space to be able to focus on how your thoughts, feelings and behaviors are interrelated. We can work together to help you to look at any unhelpful thoughts, acknowledge your different emotions as well as gradually implement positive behavior changes.
