About Me

I earned my Master's of Arts in Counseling & Psychological Services from St. Mary's University of MN in 2001. Then I worked at a community mental health clinic, Omne Clinic until I earned my license in 2003 when I joined the clinic as a FT mental health therapist. I enjoyed my work there as I was able to work with many types of clients and issues. After 8 years there, I started a private practice and counseled clients in that setting for another 8 years.

The last few years (2020-2023), I have been doing Telehealth counseling and this is working well. My approach to counseling incorporates client-centered, CBT, motivational interviewing and mindfulness techniques the most.

Many past clients would say that I was helpful to them as they sorted out many issues such as: relationship/marriage challenges, parenting challenges, stress, job issues, health issues, extended family issues, and others. I was able to earn their trust and build rapport with them so they were comfortable discussing personal challenges with me.
