Lauren Boddie

I have 11 years of experience working as a prison counselor for the State of Michigan. I hold a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and a master's degree in professional counseling, which I completed in 2021. I am fully licensed after passing the NCE exam in September 2022. I am certified in group counseling, family counseling, and marriage counseling. Currently, I serve as a crisis supervisor at the Guidance Center, a community mental health agency. I am actively pursuing a CAADC certification to further enhance my expertise in the field.

I value diversity and strive to create a culturally sensitive and inclusive environment for clients of all backgrounds, recognizing the importance of understanding the impact of social and cultural factors on clients' lives and mental health. I also believe in personal growth and self-awareness in my own life. I strive to be authentic, genuine, and present when working with clients. I help clients identify and build on their existing strengths to overcome challenges.
